One of the wonders of the Qur’an

Praise be to God, the Revealer of the Criterion, the transcriber of what He deposited of the clarification, and the detailing of the lawful and the forbidden of the foregoing laws and rulings.

He sent it down as valuable, detailed, and clear. Falsehood does not approach it from before it or from behind it. A revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy [Surat Fussilat: 42].

He honored him, honored him, magnified him, and called him: spirit, mercy, healing, guidance, and light. With his great eloquence and types of eloquence, he resolved the ambitions of atheists and told them that he is not among the seas of the words of creatures and the pattern of poets and messengers.

Because he astonished the Arabs when they heard it and baffled their hearts and minds with the magic of his statement and the splendor of his meanings.

Until a group of them said: It is magic, and a group claimed that it was the myths of the ancients.

Some of them arrogantly said: If we wished, we would have said something like this, but they remained oppressed and defeated for twenty-three years, swallowing the bitterness of failure, and bobbing their heads under the blows of challenge and reproach, even though they were the Arabs with dignity and pride, and they completed their equipment with the abundance of their poets, the diversity of their speeches, and the prevalence of rhetoric among them, and the language in their time was stronger. What is possible, when their hearts were inflamed with the enmity of the Qur’an, and their motives were synonymous with opposing it, but they were unable to oppose it, not with the like of it, not with ten suras, not even with a surah, and then he called on them to be helpless until the Hour begins, and that if the jinn and mankind gathered to produce this Qur’an, they would not produce the like of it.

Jinns and humans marvel at the eloquence and eloquence of the Qur’an

And this Qur’an was amazed by the jinn just as humans were amazed at it, and that is why Ali, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Its wonders will never end, it is the one that the jinn did not stop when they heard it until they said: Indeed, we have heard a wonderful Qur’an that guides to righteousness, so we believed in it and we will not associate others.” By our Lord, anyone [Surah Al-Jin: 1, 2. Whoever says it is true, whoever acts according to it will be rewarded, whoever judges according to it is just, and whoever calls to it is guided to a straight path”[2].

The first thing that the jinn did when they heard the Qur’an was that it was an unfamiliar wonder that aroused astonishment in the hearts.

Sayings of the imams of the predecessors in the Holy Quran

There is no end to the wonders of the Qur’an, and therefore you find various interpretations in each of them things that are not in the other.

Ibn Abbas said about the Qur’an: “The Qur’an is full of passions and arts, whose wonders never end and never reach its purpose” [3].

And Ibrahim bin Adham said: “I met a worshiper of the servants who was told that he does not sleep at night, so I asked him: Why do you not sleep?

He said: “The wonders of the Qur’an prevented me from sleeping” [4].

And Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said: “It was said to a man: Don’t you sleep? He said: “The wonders of the Qur’an took my sleep away”[5].

And another said: “The wonders of the Qur’an make me fall asleep. I did not come out of a miracle except that I fell into others” [6].

And Sheikh Muhammad bin Uthaymeen – may God have mercy on him – said: “And the wonders of the Qur’an, there is no doubt that they do not pass away, because it is the word of God .”

The people of knowledge used to forget the pleasures of the world when they read the Qur’an. Because there is pleasure in it from the wonders and innovations, and some of them reached a great status until Abu Ubaid said: “And I heard Shujaa bin Al-Walid speaking with his chain of transmission: “A man entered his wife – this is at the wedding – so he prayed.” The entry of the wife and his wife was admitted to him, so he prayed the two rak’ahs that are enacted when entering the wife, so his prayer extended until it became and he did not turn to it, so he was reprimanded for that, and he said: I have risen and I want to pray the two rak’ahs of the Sunnah when the man’s family enters him, so I am still in the wonders of the Qur’an Until I forgot her” [7] means: he forgot the wife.

As for today, one does not know how to finish the two rak’ahs until he devotes himself to them!

The wonders of the Qur’an are not confined to one aspect, but rather they are varied and renewed with the renewal of time. in it.

And in our time, when people were dazzled by these oddities and wonders in inventions, machines, and others, they were also dazzled by the many references in the Qur’an to matters of sense and reality, and some of what they knew of what is in the heavens and the earth, and fetuses in their mothers’ wombs.
