Our master Othman bin Affan
Our master Othman is One of the companions of the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the third of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs.
He took over the caliphate after Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and then Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both).
He is one of the ten whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) preached to enter Paradise.
He worked in trade and entered to Islam by our master Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him).

He was Othman bin Affan, bin Aby Al-Aas, bin Omaya, bin Abd Shams, bin Abd Manaf, bin Qusi, bin Kelab, bin Marra, bin Kaab, bin Loaii, bin Ghaleb, bin Fahr, bin Male,k bin Al-Nda,r bin Kenanha, bin Khazima, bin Modraka, bin Elias, bin Modr, bin Nizar, bin Moad, and bin Adnan

He was Qureshi Umayyad, his pedigree met up with the prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) in the fifth grandfather from his father side

He was called Dhul-Nourain because he got married two daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
He got married to Sayyida Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her) and emigrated with her to al-habasha then to Medina, where she fell ill and died in.
Then he got married to Sayyida um Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with her), the second daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him).
That’s why he was called Dhul-Nourain because he got married two daughters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessingof Allah be upon him).

Muslims bought water from Rome’s well, which belonged to a Jewish man, who sold water to Muslims.
So Othman bought it from him and made people drink and take water whenever they wanted at any time free of charge.

Equipping the Army of Hardship
One of the greatest deeds that our master Othman did in the life of the Prophet( peace and blessing be upon him) was equipping the army of the hardship.
He equipped a third of the Muslim army with everything they needed in order to prepare them for facing off the Romans.
